PV GreenCard certified solar installers in Gauteng

What this register is

The PV GreenCard is run by SAPVIA, the South African Photovoltaic Industry Association. An installer is assessed against the wiring code and industry practice, and a certified company issues a PV GreenCard for the installation itself: a record of what was installed, by whom, and that it was done to standard. It can be used as proof of the installation for insurance and finance.

Solar goes wrong expensively and almost always for the same reason, which is that the installation was never done to a standard anybody checked. This is the list to check a quote against. It carries company names, the type of work they are certified for and where they are based, because that is what the register publishes. It carries no phone numbers, because the register does not publish those and we are not going to guess them.

The Certified as column is the category each company registered under, in SAPVIA's own words. EPC is the standard industry acronym for engineering, procurement and construction, meaning a company that takes on the whole job end to end. The difference between the other categories is SAPVIA's to define rather than ours, so if it matters to your job, ask, or check the register itself.
